Case Study: Orchestream
Orchestream develops open, scalable, software for activating and managing services on today's evolving IP networks. Its products allow rapid, reliable, end-to-end provisioning of e-commerce, voice, video, VPN and application services with assured levels of performance. Orchestream develops solutions for both service providers and enterprises.
Cartezia was involved in the early commercial development of Orchestream. In particular, we helped in the company's market positioning, commercial model development, the hiring of several key executives, and mentoring of the CEO. Subsequently, we helped in the development of several key strategic partnerships, and supported a number of the fund-raising activities.
The company was backed by Deutsche Bank, Reuters, Amadeus Venture Partners, Kennet Capital, Quester, Atlas Venture, Intel and Newbury Ventures. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2000 and was acquired by MetaSolv Software Inc. in late 2002.
